Following a busy week in London at the World Travel Market, the CentralReservations.com team returned to Dublin tired but happy! Continuing its tradition, the ExCel Centre in London’s Canary Wharf district was a hub of activity for the duration of the trade show and visitors from all over the world attended.

Early reports from WTM officials indicate that the number of visitors increased by 12% this year and exhibitors from over 200 countries and regions around the world participated. In addition, there were almost 100 new exhibitors presenting this year and we are very proud to be included in that number!

Exhibiting at the WTM presented us with several excellent opportunities commented Philip Morris, Sales Executive at CentralReservations.com. Not only was it an ideal occasion for us to reacquaint ourselves with all of our existing clients, but it was a great opportunity to attend the travel industry seminars and introduce new clients to CentralReservations.com. Over the course of the week we succeeded in expanding our client base to include 750 additional properties in ten new countries which will enable us to bring an exciting range of hotel deals to our customers.

CentralReservations.com is delighted to announce the news of its recent membership to the IIA (Irish Internet Association). Established in 1997, the Irish Internet Association continues to reign as one of the driving forces behind the concept of conducting business online from Ireland. The primary focus of the IIA is to connect, inform and promote. In addition to this role, the IIA also provides leadership for both society and business in terms of using the internet as a medium for marketing, communication and commerce.

Because we have just recently launched our site, we felt that being a member of such an prestigious association was an important step towards establishing ourselves in the online travel industry said Shane O’Grady, Technical Director for CentralReservations.com. Not only do we plan to attend a selection of the many educational seminars the IIA has planned for the coming year but we also hope to participate in some of the networking events in an effort to grow our relationships with clients and customers and also to keep in touch with the latest in industry news as it is happening.

The annual World Travel Market (WTM) is being held in the Excel Centre in London (Canary Wharf / Docklands) from Monday 10th November – Thursday 13th November 2008. We are delighted to be part of this exciting event and are proud to showcase our new company (CentralReservations.com) at Stand GV1250 in the Global Village area of Excel’s North Hall.

The World Travel Market is a “must attend” event in the online travel industry with tens of thousands of travel professionals representing over 200 countries and regions across the globe expected to attend this year. With open doors to networking events, seminars and forums the WTM is not only an excellent way to keep in touch with existing clients but also a unique opportunity to build relationships with new contacts.

Following weeks and months of extensive planning and preparation, several members of our staff will be attending and are looking forward to welcoming visitors to our stand. Suffice to say, it is a wonderful opportunity for us meet fellow travel industry professionals and to gain new insights into recent market trends.
