Really enjoyed our overnight stay, with 1 exception. If you booked breakfast the night before it cost £ 10, if you decided in the morning that you wanted Breakfast it cost £ 16 absolutely ridiculous. Regards Rosalinda Simpson

Great central location for shopping and site seeing.
We were very disappointed with the quality of the food in the hotel, in particular breakfast. We were served with luke warm tea and cold toast. Museli had ran out the second morning and my husband was unable to even get a cooked breakfast. Poor!!

The internet access was hopeless. It should be possible in 2012 to be able to offfer free VPN accesss on a business laptop in thre rooms and fast access in the business centre.

on Arrival at Midnight after a delayed flight from LGI you advised us that you had overbooked the hotel and transferred us to the Roxburgh As you can imagine this was very disappointing and increased our fatigue from an all ready troubled travel .

Scottish dress of some staff, and general friendliness of staff.
Only reason for a 3 on comfort was that the bed was two beds and so big that to be close to my wife I often slept over the two beds joining. A smaller double bed would had been fine, there was so much bed!

I ordered room service and the burger was simply a burger - no relish, no salad,at that price? I ordered a Rioja wine and a Merlot was delivered, and I ordered a Jacket Potato (he said he would try and do this) and it came with chips, no explanation

Breakfast was very convenient. Room service was quick. Front desk staff was very helpful. Dining staff was helpful too, except sometimes language was an issue with the Polish staff members. I have more comments, but not enough space...
You need to have wifi in all the rooms! I was in town for business and it was a real inconvenience not to have wifi. Also, it would be better if you had a mini fridge in the cabinet, to store snacks and drinks. A vending machine in the bldg. too!

The room was far too cold. We had the radiator full on but it wasn't enough to heat the room. My fiancee didn't even take a shower because she would have been too cold when she came out. I was too tall for the shower too.

Lobby area cold and drafty. Breakfast on second morning complete shambles,not enough staff to clear tables and stock up hot buffet, waited half an hour for table then no food ready. Spoilt a nice weekend in Edinburgh.

Would have expected at least 50% discount for the disruption to our stay having to exit the hotel twice in one night. The whole point of the stay was a night of relaxation. Hardly possible with disruptions from 1.30am to 3.30am

we did have one meal in the Tempus restaurant, I had a prawn & mushroom pasta. If the menu had said "with cream" I wouldn't have ordered it. It would be normal to say "with cream". It was taken off the bill without quibble, I declined an alternative

The late night team were very helpful for my early start on the monday night re breakfast and taxi.
Room nos are taken when booking a taxi and then shouted out in reception. very impersonal not what I would expect from this hotel. large queue for breakfast, maybe look to change the opening hours 8 -11.

Great to see the George back to where it was some years ago when it was very much one of the fiiner hotels in town. Very handy for city centre shops etc.
Clearly stretched on the Sunday morning when we had to wait for a table at breakfast (5 mins so not drastic and the food was still very good).

I purchased 24 hour wi-fi but was kicked out after checking out although we were still in the hotel lobby doing some work, 24 hours should mean 24 hours

Restraunt staff were absolutely supurb, especially the Canadian waiter, brilliant!
Some "short curly" hair found on bathroom floor (Urgh!) and reception staff did not smile? Otherwise, we both really enjoyed our stay.

I stayed on business so didn't get chance to appreciate the hotel fully, but what I saw really impressed me and I will definitely be back! Lovely hotel, and huge bed!
