My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. We had dinner in the bar/restaurant the first night, it was so delicious we came back and ate there again the second night. And it had a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. The staff were lovely and helpful.
We booked and paid extra for a superior room but i don't think that is what we were given. We had stayed there before in their standard room, the superior room we were given looked no different to what we had previously stayed in.

Reception staff were polite. Dining room staff were friendly.
Our room was not serviced on 3 Dec when we returned at 3.45 pm. I would suggest that you advise staff to ask guests if they intend to return to their rooms during the servicing period

Room was clean BUT the bathroom had a lingering smell. Window had to be propped open as sash didn't work: serious matter. Restaurant service too casual: we didn't like being told 'not a problem' when we had to remind them of something late/forgotten

Having the restaurant located at the hotel was very convenient for the weary traveller, who didn't want to venture too far for a good meal. And good it was. Breakfast was OK.
The restaurant smelt of turpentine on the last night and morning of our stay. And, it would be nice if the hotel doors were fitted with some sort of slam-saver device - the amount of times I was woken by doors from 7am was unbelievably annoying!l

The staff were very hard working and friendly, especially in the breakfast room where they were overrun with customers. The breakfast was excellent. Good position, a short walk from the centre.
Room 134 was very pokey and odd shaped (obviously not originally a bedroom) it was next to the linen cupboard which smelt very musty. The walls were paper thin and noisy neighbours meant sleepless nights.

helpful response from reception desk staff when room change was requested

all the staff were very friendly. the room was clean and tidy
our room was unbelievably noisy. this was due to a combination of the noise from outside and the noise of people walking up and down the creaky stairs right outside our room. light bulbs were missing etc and there was a general sense of neglect

The staff at the Castle Hotel were great! Especially the bar man who had plenty of stories to tell and was always interested in having a chat. The room we stayed was recently refurbished to a high standard! The hotel was very close to the City centre.
I did notice a few rooms were still to be refurbished. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel when booking!

Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel, staff really friendly and the breakfast was lovely too. Only a short walk to O'Connell Street which was great.
Perhaps a bigger dining room for the amount of people having breakfasts, it was very busy everytime we went down.

If i could i'd mark you 0 for comfort, as i had a very unpleasant stay at the hotel. The window would not close properly, the bathroom was filthy the single room way too small. Breakfast was nothing as it was described on your website.

Broken light and shower. Both reported within 12 hours of our arrival, they were fixed an hour before we checked out. Think I may have left item in room have emailed hotel twice asking but no response!

The hotel is in an excellent position for accessing all of the cultural interests and shopping etc that visitors would want. Parking was also a priority for us and you offer that.
Our bedroom was a bit dated, the bed was small and the matress sagged in the centre. We had to ask for a hairdrier, and there was no light over the wash hand basin.

Big advertising campaign in England suggesting Dublin is a friendly City - perhaps someone should have shown this to your staff. In particular the majority of the desk staff appeared unwelcoming.

The Castle Hotel is an affordable hotel in Dublin. The staff are helpful and polite. I\'ve met the owner of the property on each of my 3 stays and he always has time to talk to people, making them feel welcome. Good breakfast and evening meal.
Room overlooked main road outside hotel. With us staying Saturday night a lot of noise was heard outside. I was disappointed in the room because of a broken chair and there was a gap in the bathroom window letting in cold air and noise.

A most notable hotel with an unorthodox setting and architecture tht reminds one of classic, old style settings. Very pleasant services.
The Internet service on the PC did not function efficiently -- where one pays a good amount for the service. The service logs you off from Internet without any advance notice while also taking some of your time just to log in.

Bar man was very friendly. Location was great. Room was lovely as was the breakfast served promptly on time in room. Will stay here again.
Room was a little too hot. Hard to manouvre buggy up steps.

Love the character of old hotels. it is a lovely hotel with some good features inside.
Only had breakfast there. It seemed a small dining room for a popular hotel and got a bit crowded.

I enjoy my stay at the Castle Hotel the staff went out their way to help me the Breckfast was nice the room was nice I been to the Castle hotel for three years I book my room on line my self it was easy to book I hope to come and see you next year
