Good service, luggage storage, ironing, tea and coffee facilities. Hotel room was on a quiet floor! Friendly and helpful staff! Breakfast was of good quality.
Radiator in bedroom was off at night and on in the morning. It was stained, possibly due to an old leak. Carpet could have been cleaned better and room was dusty. Problem with television remote.

no guest folder/info in the room.parking should be complimentry.no where on the site does it inform you that their is a parking charge.BUT when you book and get a confirmation email,it then tells you.a bit cheeky.Can loose some customers that way.

Overall I enjoyed my stay as It was last minute booking
I was disappointed at the smell of smoke in my bedroom when I opened the door. I made myself a cup of tea that night and the following morning I took the second cup to make tea and it had ashes from smoke in it. Disgusting last guest or staff ??

The prime position of the hotel is a great plus. Parking excellent.
Loud noise out the back of hotel all night-boiler or air con? Bed very poor and we both had sore backs after it. Poor finish to the room and had expected better after the show on TV with the Brennan brothers.

My first room 403 while located in quiet part of the hotel was freezing cold, the next night I was given a superior room on 1st floor, much better!

I checked in quite late, and the gentleman who checked me in, couldnt have been more professional and friendly.
Having checked in v. late on my own, my door key would not work, so I had to haul my bags back to reception to have my key activated. The same happened to my husband later, and the same thing happened the next day, to both of us. V. Annoyed.

I had stayed here before and had a great time, but because we booked on a football weekend, got no car park when we arrived, staff didnt have time to talk to you, and we were kept awake by drunks up shouting and roaring in the corridor early morning!

The majority of the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good.
Spent the first night in a room with no heating, made several calls to reception but no one came to fix it. Eventually after complaining the following day they moved me to a different room, far nicer than the first room

The front desk were efficient. Bar staff had a bit of craic and the whole place had a buzz around it on All Ireland hurling final weekend. Rooms were comfortable. Changed from double to triple room, staff were helpful and no extra cost incurred,thanks

Working within the Tourism industry I found the staff at this establishment to be incredibly nice and fast acting, when I arrived at the hotel my check in details were ready for me and I had my room key within 2 minuets.
Stayed in room 212 - Terrible condition considering the hallway has been lined with a new carpet and repainted. There was a hole behind the door cobwebs and dirty curtains my opinion of this place has gone down.

The Skylon has a friendly atmosphere and has a nice relaxing foyer atmosphere. We find the Skylon very suitable for accessing Croke Park.

Nice place and the location is perfect. Takes 10 from the airport and 5 from the city.

Breakfast was lovely and prompt. Staff accommodating throughout the whole booking and stay.
the rooms were not very clean I got complaints from a few people in our group. Toe nails on floor, when the lights were turned on in our room you could see the dust marks on the wall from where it had been wiped and had not.

The phone did not work in the first room I was put in, so they changed me to another room. In both rooms, there were LAYERS of dust in the wardrobes. The cleaners must never wipe the shelves in those wardrobes! There was much dust on the carpet too...

The hotel needs to be demolished and re-built. It harks back to the 1970s. The furniture, furnishings and decor is shabby in common areas and bedrooms. The wallpaper in my room was held up by sellotape and there was no lock on the toilet door.

The manageress who attempted to sort out a problem for us was a lovely person (Tara).
The bar staff were rude and our problem was not solved to our satisfaction

breakfast was cold and we did not get the same variety as the people at the table beside us. also no fresh fruit or yoghurts. also bar ran out of ice at 11.15pm on Saturday night which is unacceptable for a 3 star hotel.

Hotel wouldn\'t accept LaserCard & was directed to cash machine. Not ideal after travelling. Bar did not have drink of choice. Left in the breakfast room too long before being served.\r\n

Room was of disappointing quality. Window did not shut fully allowing cold air and noise to come through. Electrical sockets & lights not well fitted.

The hotel staff were very helpful during our stay, in particular the manager on duty and the restaurant staff for the breakfast period. They were very polite, helpful and nothing was too much trouble, always delivered with a smile and a polite comment.
The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, however some areas of the hotel does require some extra cleaning in particular paintwork and glass. There was a bit of disturbance during the night from other hotel guests.

hotel very friendly atmosphere, rooms spacious and comfortable
the decor on the first floor by the lift was a bit shabby and the glass on doors showed a lot of hand prints. staff at breakfast too rushed which left this feeling a bit unconfortable.
